The Laspa Center for Leadership, in partnership with the Office of Alumnae Engagement and Career Planning & Resources, is proud to present Olive Grove, an online networking and mentorship platform for students. Search for and connect with alumnae and members of the Scripps community for professional perspective, personal insight, and inspirational networking.

Forté Foundation

Forté’s community of motivated and inspiring women is changing the balance of power in the workplace. Forté’s alliance of talented women, influential companies, leading undergraduate and MBA institutions, and pioneering donors empowers women to reimagine what they can achieve in business. 

The Laspa Center joins 50+ undergraduate institutions that partner with Forté to introduce college students to business leadership paths. This membership grants Scripps students, faculty, and staff a complimentary Forté Professional Access, providing free admission to professional development webinar series including Women Lead and Candid Conversations.

Forté Conferences

Each year, Forté holds a series of undergraduate conferences where students can explore career options, gain hands-on leadership experience, and make valuable networking connections. Conference attendance is free for Scripps students, and Forté offers travel stipends to support partner school students’ attendance. The Laspa Center also sponsors students to select Forté conferences annual through its Leadership Immersion Treks.

PLEN

The Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN) is a premier women’s leadership and professional development program. It’s mission is to empower, educate, and engage women and marginalized gender groups in public policy to promote diverse, inclusive leadership in policy making.

Scripps students have access to PLENTalks, institutional seminars, scholarships, and reduced rates for annual PLEN Seminars. Learn more.

PLEN Seminars

Each year, PLEN Seminars give students valuable access to women leaders in Washington, D.C. from the legislative, executive, and judicial branches; agencies; nonprofit organizations; and the private sector. The Laspa Center sponsors a limited number of students to attend PLEN seminars through its Leadership Immersion Treks  each year. However all currently enrolled Scripps students receive reduced registration fees.
