PLEN

The Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN) is a premier women’s leadership and professional development program. It’s mission is to empower, educate, and engage women and marginalized gender groups in public policy to promote diverse, inclusive leadership in policy making.

Scripps students have access to PLENTalks, institutional seminars, scholarships, and reduced rates for annual PLEN Seminars. Learn more.

PLEN Seminars

Each year, PLEN Seminars give students valuable access to women leaders in Washington, D.C. from the legislative, executive, and judicial branches; agencies; nonprofit organizations; and the private sector. The Laspa Center sponsors a limited number of students to attend PLEN seminars through its Leadership Immersion Treks  each year. However all currently enrolled Scripps students receive reduced registration fees.

  • Discover how Washington, DC really works
  • Network with high-level policy makers
  • Explore a wide variety of issue areas
