Undergraduate Rising Star Program

Forté’s Rising Star program is a free opportunity to develop new skills, connect with powerful women, and show leading employers that you have what it takes to succeed in the workplace. Participate at your own pace, and earn points as you go. We’ll help you in five major areascareer exploration, personal branding, job searching, networking, and professional valuesand when you’re done, you get to add the Rising Star designation to your resume. Business Leadership Conference for African American/Black and Latinx Women

April 3, 2020

When women of color have their voices heard, everyone wins. Diverse perspectives lead to brilliant solutions for everyone, from corporations to consumers, to communities. This event will help you shine during your job search and at work while embracing and leveraging your diversity.

The Laspa Center will sponsor up to 10 students to participate in the Business Leadership Conference for Black and Latinx Women. Explore a multitude of business careers, build leadership skills, and expand your network in this one-day interactive conference.

Eligibility

Currently enrolled Scripps College students in good academic standing are eligible to apply.

Application Requirements

The application includes a 300-500 word statement of interest, and a current resume. Apply through the link above; DO NOT apply directly through the Forte Foundation.

Supplemental Materials

Participants may be asked to share their experiences with the community and will be asked to submit:

  • A post-program survey
  • One-page trek summary with photo
  • One blog submission
