The mission of the Forté Foundation is to change the balance of power in the workplace by creating opportunities for women to network, learn about careers in business, and gain important leadership skills. Forté’s “Fast Track to Finance Conference” is intended for rising sophomores and juniors with an interest in finance. The conference provides an opportunity for students to learn about diverse career paths in finance, network with recruiters, and strengthen their own professional network of peers. The Laspa Center for Leadership and Career Planning & Resources are pleased to co-sponsor the participation of up to four Scripps students for the Fast Track to Finance Conference, in New York City, September 28-30, 2023.

About Sponsorship for This Trek

• Registration, transportation, and meals.
• We will travel as a group, including flights. You must be prepared to depart early in the morning on 9/28 and arrive back to campus in the evening on 9/30.
• Networking opportunities will also include brunch with local alumnae on the morning of 9/30.
• Be prepared to share with the Scripps community a detailed account of your experiences, both in writing and in person, at a peer-to-peer event to be scheduled in the fall.

Eligibility

Rising Scripps College sophomores and juniors from any major are eligible to apply. In cases of class conflict, please confer with your professor in advance of your application.

November 2-4, 2023

This one-day symposium centers the lived experiences of women business leaders who hold aspects of their identities that have historically been underrepresented in business. Specifically, speakers and facilitators who identify as African American / Black, Latina/x, and Native American will be featured in the programming. Undergraduate students from all academic disciplines are encouraged to engage in leadership development programming and training at this event.

The Forté team will help you launch yourself as a strong candidate, from maximizing mentorships to improving your critical thinking skills. Shine during your job search and at work while embracing and leveraging your distinct skills and experience. Learn more.
