Traditionally, Scripps College surveys students in order to gain valuable insight into perspectives and experiences as they matriculate to and graduate from Scripps College, and post-Scripps as alumnae. The overall goal is always promoting student success.
Currently Scripps College, a member of the Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium (HEDS), participates in HEDS’ set of student surveys: the New Student Survey, the Graduating Student Survey, the Alumnae Survey, and the tri-yearly Sexual Assault Campus Climate Survey.
In the past Scripps College has participated surveys including those administered by the Higher Education Research Institute (HERI), such as The Freshman Survey (TFS), Your First College Year (YFCY) survey, and the College Senior Survey (CSS). Previous to that Scripps participated in the Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement (BCSSE), sent to incoming students, and the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), sent to first years and seniors.
