Scripps College ranks 26th on the U.S. News & World Report annual rankings of America’s Best Liberal Arts Colleges for 2018. Scripps ranks high—21st overall—among high school counselors surveyed. Counselors were asked to rate schools based on their insights and knowledge, in addition to their views of each college’s academic record, curriculum, faculty, programs, and graduates. In addition, in 2018 Scripps College was ranked #14 as a National Liberal Arts College with the least debt.
Top-tier placement by U.S. News & World Report is measured by key factors such as academic reputation, selectivity and faculty resources. Assessment of data from several national liberal arts colleges are gathered from each college and used as indicators of academic excellence.
Forbes magazine ranks Scripps College one of America’s top colleges, with an overall ranking of #16 in its Top Liberal Arts Colleges 2017 list. Scripps comes in at #8 in the national publication’s Top 25 Western Colleges list, and #43 in Forbes’ ranking of the country’s Top 50 Colleges.
