Types of Payments
Check or Money Order | Make your check or money order payable to Scripps College and mail it to the Development Office at 1030 Columbia Avenue, Claremont, California 91711. Please indicate the purpose for your gift and in whose name the gift should be acknowledged. |
Credit Card | You may use your credit card to give online or by telephone. You can make your gift in installments. |
Matching Gifts | Corporate matching gifts provide an opportunity for you to double or even triple your gift to Scripps College. If you or your spouse work for a matching gift company, please request a matching gift form from your company’s personnel office and follow the directions to initiate the match. Mail the form to our office and our staff will do the rest. |
Wire Transfer | To initiate a transaction, call the Development Services Office. |
Gifts in Kind | Scripps accepts a limited number of gifts in kind, and there must be a direct relationship between the gift and the educational mission. |
Pledges | You may want to give later in the year or in monthly installments. Scripps will send you the appropriate pledge reminders according to your preference. |
Acknowledgments | Scripps is a 501C(3) non-profit organization and gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law. For your tax purposes the College will send you a receipt for your records confirming the value and purpose of your gift. |
Planned, Deferred, and Life Income Gifts | A planned gift allows donors the opportunity to make a sizable gift to the College and continue to receive income from the gift for his or her lifetime, for the lifetime of a beneficiary, or for a specified number of years.
