Volunteer of the Year
Scripps College recognizes and appreciates the importance of the ongoing commitment, dedication, and leadership of its alumnae. The Volunteer of the Year award recognizes an alumna for her commitment, dedication, leadership, and exceptional volunteer service on behalf of Scripps College. This award will be given at Convocation during Reunion Weekend.
Latest Recipient: Catherine McIntosh '76
Catherine McIntosh ‘76 is an active proponent of the arts in Claremont, currently serving as the President of the Scripps Fine Arts Foundation and on the Board of Directors for the Claremont Museum of Art. She has also been involved with the Seal Pond Mosaic Murals Advisory Committee and a frequent workshop presenter at Camp Scripps. By facilitating exhibitions, festivals, films, and books, she is documenting the history of the arts community in Claremont with its many connections to Scripps College. Catherine and her husband Charles Tuggle (CMC ’76) lived in Texas for 30 years, where she was a photo editor for the Houston Chronicle. They returned to Claremont in 2009 and live in Padua Hills.
