How to Apply to Scripps College via QuestBridge

Students who are interested in applying to Scripps College through the QuestBridge National College Match program must submit their College Match application to QuestBridge by the end of September. Students then must submit their match rankings to QuestBridge in mid-October. Please think very carefully about the ranking process because it is a binding contract for many College Match schools, including Scripps College. At the end of October, students will be notified of their QuestBridge finalist status. Students who become QuestBridge finalists must submit the following additional materials to Scripps College in the beginning of November:

  1. Official high school transcript(s), mailed or emailed directly by your counselor to questbridge@scrippscollege.edu
  2. Official SAT Reasoning or ACT scores, sent directly from College Board/ACT or on your official transcript

Information for QuestBridge Non-Finalists

QuestBridge will inform students in late October whether they are Finalists or Non-Finalists. Students who are non-finalists for the College Match process can apply to Scripps through Early Decision I or II or Regular Decision. All first-year applicants are automatically considered for all merit-based scholarships ranging from $10,000 to $20,000 per year. Notification of scholarships takes place at the time of admission and the scholarships are renewable for each of the student’s four years at the College.

Early Decision is an excellent option for students who know that Scripps is their top-choice college. Early Decision is a binding agreement that provides an early application review and notification of admission decision. Applicants admitted through Early Decision must withdraw their application(s) to other colleges and enroll at Scripps.

  • Early Decision I: Application materials due November 15, 2014
  • Early Decision II: Application materials due January 1, 2015

Regular Decision allows students maximum flexibility in their college admission choice. This is a non-binding admission plan and students are notified of their admission by April 1.

  • Regular Decision: Application materials due January 1, 2015
