The Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery will host Scripps College’s 77th Ceramic Annual, the longest ongoing exhibition of contemporary ceramics in the nation, from February 5–April 17, 2022. The exhibition, curated by Petaluma-based visual artist Ashwini Bhat, is free and open to the public.

76th Scripps College Ceramic Annual: Duality and Context

On January 25, Scripps College’s Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery will launch its 76th Ceramic Annual, the longest-running exhibition of contemporary ceramics in the nation. This year, the gallery is highlighting work that explores connections and conflicts in art and nature, with inventive and interactive pieces that stand on their own, hang from the ceiling, or extrude from the walls.

The Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery has received a $10,000 grant to Scripps College from the Pasadena Art Alliance to support the catalog for the 2019 Ceramic Annual—Scripps College’s 75th entry in the perennially popular exhibit that has been running since World War II.
