The Los Angeles Times profiled Betye Saar’s solo exhibition at LACMA, which features 18 finished pieces that reflect on art-making and the African American experience. Saar’s works on paper from the 1980s are archived in the Ruth Chandler Williamson Collection at Scripps College, where her daughter and fellow artist, Alison Saar ’78, has previously exhibited her work.
