Scripps Milestones: Celebrating 90 Years of Women’s Education

This year, Scripps College proudly celebrates its 90th anniversary. When Scripps was founded in 1926, it was one of few institutions dedicated to educating women for professional careers as well as personal growth, leadership, and public service and engagement. Since then, the College has continued to champion qualities of both mind and spirit in accordance with the vision of its founder. Scripps today offers a rigorous interdisciplinary curriculum, a robust intellectual community, a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and a rich residential experience designed to shape the next generation of leaders.

All year long, we will highlight the best of what Scripps has to offer, sharing stories about our inspiring students and alumnae as well as our accomplished faculty. And through the College’s dynamic public events that bring writers, musicians, dancers, and artists to campus for lectures, discussions, performances, and exhibitions, we build on the community that began 90 years ago.

Please join the Scripps community in celebrating 90 years of exceptional education for women.
