Living on Campus
Scripps College’s residence halls are at the heart of the Scripps experience. Frequently featured on The Princeton Review’s top 20 lists for Most Beautiful Campus and Best College Dorms, our residences are designed to create a sense of home and belonging, where students make friends, participate in vibrant programming, have in-house mentors, and can access academic support.
Our resident coordinators—current students who also live in the residence halls—design experiences that create a built-in community of friends and a rich campus experience. Some of these experiences include:
- Community dinners
- Outings to the Claremont Village
- Movie viewing parties (Screen On the Green)
Beginning their sophomore year, students may consider joining a Learning, Living, or Thematic community, where there’s a shared common residential experience based on academic study or lifestyle. These include:
- Leadership
- Science and Technology
- Health and Wellness
- Creative Community
Vibrancy Courtyards
With an average 284 sunny days per year in Los Angeles, Scripps takes advantage of the outdoors. Our vibrancy courtyards are designated spaces on campus where students can gather, socialize, and build community.
