Welcome to the Office of Parent Engagement
As a parent of a Scripps student, you are now part of a wonderful community. You are automatically a member of Scripps Association of Families and we hope you check in with us regularly so that you stay connected and informed about all things SCRIPPS! We want your student to have an enriching and successful college experience. The College believes that parental support aids student success.
With that in mind, the Office of Parent Engagement was created to provide you with direct relationships with the institution. We reach out via email and post regularly, keeping you well informed of campus and regional events in your area. If you are the parents of a new Scripps student, you are most likely involved in planning for the upcoming transition to campus life. We understand that this is both exciting and at times overwhelming. We hope you utilize our office as a resource for information and join us in building our incredible, dynamic, and diverse community.
We are pleased to welcome your family to Scripps Association of Families and look forward to sharing these next years together.

Family Weekend is one of Scripps’ most popular events. Every year more than 600 family members from around the globe come to Scripps College over President’s Day Weekend. Families of current students of all years are invited to this jam-packed weekend that showcases some of the best academic and co-curricular programs that Scripps has to offer.
Family members can participate in four days of activities and take a glimpse into their student’s life at Scripps, which includes attending classes with your student, taking in-depth historic and botanic campus tours, attending student and faculty performances, and enjoying special meals and social events on campus with other families, students, and staff.
