Borrow Free Greenware for Your Campus Event
Make your event sustainable with free, reusable Greenware from the Office of Sustainability! We offer plates, cups, bowls, utensils, and compost bins to help reduce waste for events of all sizes. All items are reusable, durable, and support Sustainability at Scripps.

How It Works
1. Request Your Greenware Kit
Submit a request at least five business days before your event.
You’ll tell us:
- Event date & time
- Event location
- How many items you need (up to 100 of each)
Once your kit is prepared, our team will deliver it directly to your event location.
You don’t have to pick up anything.
2. We Deliver Your Kit
On the day of your event, our Waste Reduction Coordinators will:
- Pack your Greenware kit
- Include at least one compost bin per event
- Deliver everything to your event location 15 minutes before your event begins
- Everything arrives ready to use! No need to meet us or coordinate pickup.
3. Use the Greenware at Your Event
Enjoy your event sustainably!
After use:
- Place all used & unused items back into the bins
- Put food scraps into the compost bin
- No need to wash or clean anything! We take care of that part.
4. We Pick Everything Up
Our interns will return after your event ends to:
- Collect all used & unused Greenware
- Pick up full compost bins
- Transport everything for washing and sanitizing
- Reset materials for future events
- No returns, no drop‑offs, no hassle for you.
