Membership & Access

Facility Access

The Sallie Tiernan Field House is focused on students first and foremost, as well as serving the needs of Scripps staff and faculty and the Claremont Consortium members. Scripps College students, faculty, and staff have year-round access to the Tiernan Field House. Membership privileges are also extended to members of the Claremont Consortium at varying levels of memberships and privileges. Students, faculty and staff from Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Scripps, and TCCS have access to the facility with no additional fees during the academic year. Members from the other consortia schools have options of purchasing day passes or memberships. Day passes and memberships grant patrons access to the building and pool.

Patrons and guests need to be 16 years of age to use the facility and its exercise equipment and the pool during the academic year. All minors require a parent or guardian with them at all times in the facility. The age requirement for use of the pool during the summer is 6 months and above with a parent or guardian. Additional requirements may apply for non-swimmers.

Please note that for membership purposes, the academic year begins on the first day that the residence halls are open to returning students and concludes when the residence halls close in May. Semester, academic-year, and summer memberships are available.

An annual membership includes the academic year plus summer. Group fitness (FitScripps) passes are also available for purchase per semester. Access to wellness programming and special events vary per event.

Memberships

Memberships are available for Scripps Alumnae, Claremont Graduate University, Keck Graduate Institute, Pomona, and Pitzer students, faculty and staff to purchase at the facility.
