About the Field House

The Tiernan Field House is comprised of a 24,000 foot fitness health and wellness facility, 8-lane lap and leisure pool, regulation size soccer and lacrosse field and sand volleyball court.

The field house includes three distinct spaces for cardiovascular and strength workouts containing elliptical machines, treadmills, variable and lateral motion trainers, Stairmasters, rowers, stationary bicycles and an upright ergometer. Strength equipment includes squat racks, selectorized equipment, dumbbells, barbells, kettle bells, and a plethora of functional equipment.

Two balconies overlooking the pool provide space for students to work-out, stretch, use the punching bag, study or relax in the warm sunshine on a lounge chair. The main level houses a multi-purpose studio, our wellness space complete with a full body massage chair and a kitchen that is open for community use.

On the lower level our largest multi-purpose aerobic studio hosts many group fitness classes, student organizations, meetings, and special events.

Finally, the pool is a 25-meter, 8-lane pool that is used for athletic and club swim practices, drop-in lap swim, leisure activity, and special events such as the Flick N’ Float (movie at the pool).
