Biography
Jocelyn Reid is a ceramic and mixed media artist from Treaty 7 Territory in Canada. Working from real and fabricated objects, she carefully alters recognizable forms through intentional distortions in shape, color, and material. Reid maintains a deep dedication to craft and traditional sculptural processes, with casting at the core of her practice. She has exhibited work in North America, Taiwan, and Europe, and was the 2021 recipient of the Winifred Shantz Award for Ceramics.
