Scripps Student, Alumnae, Make Prominent Showing in Claremont Art World

Visit the Claremont Museum of Art (CMA) this fall, and you will encounter a lively menagerie: mermaids glide in crystalline waters, horses gallop across rolling foothills, and cats impishly peer out at passersby. The exhibition Primal Nature: Animalia by Women in Post-War Claremont features fauna of various stripes and feathers represented in a variety of media—from sculptures in bronze, clay, and wood to watercolor paintings to wool fiber needlework—all by Claremont women artists, including several Scripps alumnae.

U.S. Department of State Lists Scripps College among Top Fulbright-Producing Colleges

Scripps College was once again named a Fulbright program top-producing school  by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Scripps is ranked among the top 25 institutions on the annual list as a research bachelor’s institution, with six Fulbright award winners in the 2017­â€“2018 academic year.

Spotlight on Alumnae: Rachel Odessey ’17, Awarded National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship

Rachel Odessey ’17, a first-year PhD student in the electrical and computer engineering group in the School of Engineering at Brown University, has won a three-year National Defense Science and Engineering (NDSEG) Graduate Fellowship. Odessey earned her bachelor of arts in physics at Scripps.
