On Saturday, May 12, Scripps College conducted its 88th annual commencement exercises on Elm Tree Lawn. Students, faculty, staff, families, and friends of the College gathered to celebrate the Class of 2018, and Charlayne Hunter-Gault,  a civil rights activist and award-winning journalist, delivered the official address. Scripps College celebrates the new, but respects its traditions. On May 14, the class of 2016, as Scripps’ 86th annual Commencement, took part in the institution’s ceremonies to celebrate its distinct accomplishments.

Class of 2016: 86th Annual Commencement: Celebrating Scripps’ Graduating Seniors

Scripps College’s 86th annual Commencement takes place on Saturday, May 14 at 5:00 p.m. on Elm Tree Lawn. Interim President Amy Marcus-Newhall will preside over the ceremony, and Madeleine K. Albright, 64th U.S. Secretary of State, will give the commencement address. This year, 206 seniors will cross the stage to receive their diplomas.
