Dovey Dee ’83 Displays Landscape Paintings at dA Gallery in Pomona

Scripps College alumna and Australian resident Dovey Dee ’83 is displaying her landscape paintings through July 22 at the dA Gallery in Pomona. Dee’s Techtonic Shifts: A Sense of Place, A Sense of Space exhibit, as well as her time as a fixture in the local art scene and recent return visit, is featured in an article in the Claremont CourierDee earned her bachelor’s degree from Scripps College in 1983 and her master’s from Claremont Graduate University in 1985. Her paintings depict her adopted country’s wild landscapes, from the gold fields of Ballarat in central Victoria, to East Gippsland, the Alice Springs area and McDonnell ranges, as well as Western Australia. Admission to the exhibit is free at the dA Center for the Arts, 252 D South Main St., Pomona.
