The evening conversation with Art Garfunkel that is being sponsored by Scripps Presents and Grand Performances on Oct. 13 in downtown Los Angeles is one of seven literary events recommended in the Los Angeles Times’ Arts & Books preview this week. Garfunkel will talk about his recently released memoir, “What Is It All But Luminous: Notes from an Underground Man,” in his only LA-area appearance. The Times notes that Garfunkel “writes about his life before, during, and after Simon & Garfunkel,” adding that his memoir includes the iconic musician’s poems, as well as stories about his time in Hollywood, acting in “Carnal Knowledge” and “Catch-22.” The evening event is Scripps Presents’ second downtown LA performance, held outdoors at Grand Performances’ venue at Two California Plaza, 350 S Grand Avenue.

This program is presented by Scripps Presents in partnership with Grand Performances and SAG-AFTRA. The purchase of a ticket and a copy of the book is required through Grandperformances.org.
