Assistant Professor Gabriela Bacsan Awarded Woodrow Wilson Foundation Fellowship

This spring, Assistant Professor of Spanish, Latin American, and Caribbean Literatures and Cultures Gabriela Bacsan was awarded the Woodrow Wilson Foundation (WWF) Career Enhancement Fellowship. This prestigious award creates career development opportunities for selected faculty fellows with promising research projects. The program seeks particularly to increase the presence of junior faculty members who are underrepresented in their fields, as well as other faculty members committed to eradicating racial disparities in core fields in the arts and humanities. The fellowship, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, will provide Bacsan with a six-month sabbatical grant; a research stipend; and participation in an annual retreat.
