The Claremont Colleges Joint Music Program Presents “Russian Composers”

The Joint Music Program of Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, and Scripps Colleges present "Russian Composers" in Garrison Theatre on Saturday, October 28, at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, October 29, at 3:00 p.m. "Russian Composers" is the opening concert of the music program’s 22nd season. Michael Deane Lamkin will conduct and Anita Ayer, Scripps senior, piano, will perform with The Claremont Concert Orchestra. The orchestra will perform Shotakovich’s, Symphony No. 5 in d minor, op. 47 and Kabalevsky’s, Rhapsody on a Theme of the Song "School Years," op. 75. Canned goods will be collected at the door for the West End Hunger Program: SOVA Center. Garrison Theatre is located on the corner of 10th and Dartmouth Avenues in Claremont and is wheelchair accessible. Admission is free and open to the public.
