The Scripps College senior art exhibition is an annual juried show displaying final projects by some of the College’s senior studio art majors. The 2005 exhibition explores themes that fit within the inquiry of absence and excess, including the ephemeral nature of memory, childhood and aging, cultural perceptions of form, one’s own death, hunger, and architectural inequity, among others. This year’s featured projects have been created in media ranging from acrylic paint on canvas and color photography to candy melted directly onto the gallery walls. Amelia Coplan, Sonya Dolan, Lisa Jacobs, Morgan Nomura, Victoria Reynolds, Summer Shiffman, Olivia Vos, and Andrea Wolf are the exhibiting artists from the class of 2005.
