Stephanie Vasilovich to Head Alumnae Relations at Scripps

Following a national search, M. Jean Gorman, Scripps College vice president for development and college relations, announced today the appointment of Stephanie Vasilovich as the college’s new director of alumnae relations, effective June 25, 2001.

Ms. Vasilovich, a 1982 graduate of Scripps, will oversee programs and services for the college’s approximate 7,000 alumnae around the world. She has more than 15 years of experience working with volunteers, a key component of her position at Scripps, and during the past four years has worked in advancement positions at California State University at Fresno. She began her career in Washington, D.C. on the staff of a state representative and moved on to the U.S. Ski Educational Foundation overseeing special events on a national level and working with volunteer committees across the country.

In making the appointment Ms. Gorman said, "It is wonderful to have Stephanie on board at the start of the college’s year-long 75th anniversary celebration. I am confident that both her professional experience and her commitment to the future of Scripps College will make her a highly effective and successful director of alumnae relations."
