Brad and Mary Anne Blaine Faculty Lecture Series: Cheryl Walker and Gayle Greene

Cheryl Walker, Richard Armour Professor of English at Scripps College, and Gayle Greene, Professor of English will present their lecture, How Our Work Has Changed and Why: A Conversation at Scripps College in the Hampton Room of the Elizabeth Hubert Malott Commons on Thursday, September 27 at 7:00 p.m. Both Professor Walker and Professor Greene joined the Scripps faculty in 1974 and have continued to distinguish themselves since. Professor Walker holds a Ph.D. in American literature from Brandeis University and specializes in American poetry. Professor Greene holds a Ph.D in English literature from Columbia University and most recently has received excellent criticism for her book The Woman Who Knew Too Much: Alice Stewart and the Secrets of Radiation.

Former Scripps Professor of History and current Trustee Brad Blaine, along with his wife Mary Anne, are proud to sponsor this lecture. The Blaines have generously underwritten a lecture series featuring outstanding Scripps faculty to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Scripps College. This and all other lectures in the series are free and open to the public.
