LA Taco named Blue on a Blue Palette by poet and Scripps alum Lynne Thompson ’72 one of the best books of 2024.
A renowned writer, Thompson was the fourth Los Angeles Poet Laureate from 2021–23 and was an Academy of American Poetry Poet Laureate Fellowship recipient.
Her latest collection, published in April 2024, reflects on the condition of women and their insistence on survival.
“Thompson grew up in the Crenshaw District in the 1960s, and her poetry reflects a true Angelena who understands our city’s people and ecology,” Mike Sonksen writes.
