Susan D. Anderson ’75, history curator and program manager at the California African American Museum, discussed the significance of former Olympian Cornelius Jackson with CBS News. Jackson, a Black athlete who competed in the 1936 Berlin Olympics, took home a gold medal in the high jump, as well as an oak sapling, which he planted outside his Los Angeles home.
