Ms. spoke with Barbara Arnwine ’73, president and founder of the Transformative Justice Coalition, about her role in mobilizing voters ahead of the runoff election in Georgia. Arwine credited people of color and young people, especially Black women organizers, with the impressive voter turnout. “We’re unstoppable,” she said. “Throw what you want at us. Tell us what’s impossible. And watch us make it possible. Don’t ever underestimate a Black woman. Because we sit on the tradition. And we’re very aware of it.”
