In the Media: Lily Silver ’22 Launches Mental Health Talk Show on IGTV, Seattle Times Reports

Lily Silver ’22 launched “Mind Wide Open,” a mental health-focused weekly talk show on IGTV, Instagram’s video platform, the Seattle Times reported. Silver, whose father was Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell, said she started the talk show to destigmatize mental health issues among young people, especially as the social isolation of quarantine has increased anxiety for many. Guests will include mental health professionals, as well as rock stars such as Duff McKagan of Guns N’ Roses. Silver told the Times that interviews with famous guests “will help people see, ‘Here is someone I really admire and they struggle with the same things as me.’ That will help toward being seen and validated.”
