Scripps College’s 2026 Day of Giving is March 25!

By Kendra Pintor

On March 25, 2026, Scripps College will kick off its annual Day of Giving—a 24-hour giving event dedicated to supporting the people, programs, and opportunities that make Scripps extraordinary. The College’s goal is to reach a minimum of 550 donors to participate in this year’s efforts.

“Our donors play a direct role in shaping the student experience at Scripps,” says Megan Hast, director of leadership annual giving and The Scripps Fund. “Day of Giving is a shared moment to invest in what makes this College exceptional—from access and creativity to sustainability and academic exploration.”

In 2024, Scripps’ community comprised a total of 418 donors who raised $216,826 in cash gifts to support what they love about Scripps. Last year, Day of Giving exceeded virtually every expectation, surpassing the base goal of 425 donors by 138 percent, with more than 580 donors raising $183,286.

Day of Giving 2026 will spotlight key giving areas that enhance the Scripps student experience, including:

Internships

Internships offer students invaluable lessons and opportunities to practice what they have learned in their field of interest or to explore something new. More than 87 percent of students have had at least one internship during their time at Scripps, made possible by the generosity of donors like you!

SCORE CLORGS

Scripps Communities of Resources and Empowerment (SCORE) works closely with campus Clubs and Organizations (CLORGS) to build a community of people dedicated to enhancing and supporting inclusion and equity at Scripps College. You can help SCORE CLORGS provide programming and advising to students today!

The Scripps Student Investment Fund

A student club started in 1972 with a $50,000 donation by former Trustee Mary Wig ’35. Today’s SIF students manage an investment portfolio worth $600,000 and share up to 6 percent of their earnings with other student-led clubs and organizations. They are philanthropy in action!

The Scripps Access Initiative (SAI)

This is a transformational investment to help more exceptional, under-resourced students fulfill their dream of attending Scripps by supporting aid packages that cover tuition, room, and board.

The Scripps Fund: Scripps’ Annual Giving Powerhouse

Impact 100 percent of the student body by providing Scripps with the flexibility to meet its most pressing needs and seize emerging opportunities.

The Department of Dance: Experiential Learning

Denison Library: Bring the Liberal Arts to Life

The Williamson Gallery: Hub for Culture and Artistic Enrichment

Sustainability Initiatives: On Campus and Beyond

Advance Scripps as a living laboratory for sustainable practices locally and globally.

Scripps Presents: The College’s Signature Public Events Series

Connect campus to the world through conversations with speakers such as Misty Copeland, Pete Buttigieg, Lena Waithe, Stanley Tucci, Van Jones, and many more.

“Scripps has always been powered by people who believe in the transformative impact of a women’s education,” says Hast. “Day of Giving invites our community to reaffirm that belief and ensure future generations of students have the resources they need to thrive.”
