Scripps has risen 26 spots as a Top College in Forbes’ rankings and eight spots in U.S. News and World Reports’ Best Undergraduate Teaching category, while continuing to rank highly for value, residential life, and campus beauty in The Princeton Review’s 2027 rankings.
Scripps College continues to receive national recognition in the latest 2027 college rankings from Forbes, U.S. News & World Report, and The Princeton Review, with the College rising in several measures of value, undergraduate teaching, and overall excellence.
U.S. News & World Report Rankings
In the newly released U.S. News & World Report 2027 Best Colleges rankings, Scripps is ranked #38 among National Liberal Arts Colleges, placing the College among the top institutions in the country. Scripps also rose eight spots to #51 for Best Undergraduate Teaching and three spots to #75 for Best Value Schools. The College is ranked #35 among Top Private Schools and #114 among Top Performers on Social Mobility.
Scripps is ranked #38 among National Liberal Arts Colleges according to U.S. News & World Report
Forbes Rankings
Forbes ranked Scripps #192 among 1,600 institutions in its 2027 list of America’s Top Colleges, up 26 spots from last year’s ranking of #218. Scripps also ranks #107 among private colleges and #46 in the West. Forbes’ rankings evaluate colleges based on measures including student outcomes, return on investment, financial success, and the experiences of students and alumni. The outlet once more awarded Scripps an A+, its highest award for financial health.
The Princeton Review Rankings
Lauded for its rankings that incorporate student input, The Princeton Review again recognized Scripps as a Best Value College, a Best College in the West, and one of its Best 392 Colleges nationally for 2027. Scripps also received recognition based on student feedback in the areas of Best College Dorms and Most Beautiful Campus. The Princeton Review’s 2027 rankings are based on surveys of more than 172,000 students at 392 colleges nationwide.
