Scripps College Named Top College by Forbes, The Princeton Review

Scripps College is proud to garner continued recognition as a leader in higher education, according to recent rankings released by Forbes and The Princeton Review.

The College is among Forbes’ 2026 ranking of America’s top colleges offering the “best educational, financial, and career outcomes for all students, from all backgrounds.” Forbes also named Scripps as a 2025 top small college in an influential list of just 50 institutions nationwide, noting the more personalized experience offered at colleges with fewer than 4,000 students.

“We ranked colleges and universities based on return on investment, average student debt levels, and outcomes for their graduates,” says Forbes of its methodology. “We also rewarded colleges that enroll a greater percentage of low-income students.”

Recognition by The Princeton Review

Scripps continued to rank as one of The Princeton Review’s best colleges in its annual rankings. The College also appeared as a top selection in lists for “best classroom experience,” “best college of the West,” “best value college,” “best college dorms,” “most beautiful campus,” and “best quality of life” for students.

A nationally renowned education services company, The Princeton Review surveyed 170,000 students for its 2026 assessment of 391 colleges. Their full methodology factors in students’ perspectives on academics, campus life, extracurriculars, and more.

Surveyed students expressed appreciation for the ease of forming close connections with faculty, the joint resources of The Claremont Colleges consortium, and Scripps’ “supportive, small community of women who fight to make the world a better place.”
