City of Claremont Honors Scripps College with “Excellence in Design Award”

City officials will present Scripps with a 2013 Excellence in Design Award for distinguished work on the College’s iconic Margaret Fowler Garden. A public award presentation takes place May 14. A reception will begin at 6:15 p.m. in the lobby of the Claremont City Hall, 207 N. Harvard Ave. The award ceremony will follow at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public.

An opening reception is scheduled May 2 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Bixby Courtyard. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
