REDCAT’s New Original Works Festival will feature Safe and Sound, a “meditation on self-preservation and solidarity” by Associate Professor of Dance Kevin Williamson. The performance is part of the festival’s shared program of events, which will take place August 24–26.
In October 2019, Williamson performed Safe and Sound as a work-in-progress at Scripps’ Garrison Theater. The film version of the work was a 2021 LGBTQ Unbordered International Film Festival selection.
