The Library of Congress highlighted the work of Martha Gonzalez, associate professor of Chicanx/Latinx studies and 2022 MacArthur Fellowship recipient, in its Labor Day roundup of women songwriters. Gonzalez is the lead singer, songwriter, and percussionist for the Grammy Award–winning band Quetzal.
