“Risk Taking Differences Among Liberals and Conservatives” and “Why be Moral?”

Dr. Yaniv Hanoch and Dr. Michaela Gummerum will discuss their work related to the development of moral decision making and risk taking with application to political affiliation. Yaniv Hanoch is a professor of decision science at the University of Plymouth. His research focuses on decision making and risk taking across a range of domains and topics, including aging, forensic, health and economic. Dr. Michaela Gummerum is an associate professor of psychology at the University of Plymouth. She investigates the social, emotional, and cognitive factors underpinning children’s and adolescents’ decision-making.
