This talk will explore the present political and social situation in the European continent, in an era where “austerity”, “refugees,” and the “far right” are often associated with “Europe” in many world media headlines. Andrea Mammone is a historian of modern Europe at Royal Holloway, University of London. He has published extensively on the western European far right, modern Italy, transnationalism, and other themes on European society.
