Elizabeth Bolton @Noon with Scripps Presents
Professor of English at Swarthmore College Elizabeth Bolton comes to Scripps to speak about her research and work studying traditional crafts in Morocco and Bhutan. Her book, In the Kingdom of the Thunder Dragon: Happiness, History, and Environment in a Changing Bhutan, looks at the connections between Vajrayana Buddhism, Gross National Happiness, biocultural heritage, struggles over citizenship, and more.
