So you got into Scripps… Now What?

  • Admission Ambassadors
  • Sam '24
  • Serena
  • Student Life

Hey everyone!

Congratulations on your acceptance to Scripps, we’re excited to meet all of you! Like many of you, we were ecstatic to attend college but didn’t quite know where to start. How should we begin to get involved in campus life and culture? How do we connect with the other Scripps students? Well, do not fear. Sam and Serena are here!

In this blog post, we will provide a list of resources that helped us get started when we were once lost and confused first-year Scripps students!

Get to know other Scrippsies

  • Facebook (Scripps Current Students, Class of 2025)
    • You should have a link to that in your acceptance email!
  • Instagram (Class of 2025)
      • Note: This is student-run!
  • GroupMe
    • This link can be found in the Class of 2025 Instagram Bio!

Check your email for any updates from Scripps

  • Note: There may be events that will be planned (i.e. Scripps Tea) so keep your eyes peeled for that! You will be getting your own school email sometime at the beginning of summer, and more promotional events that can get you involved in campus life will be featured through that.

Check out the Financing Your Education guide

  • Scripps Financing Your Education guide
    • Here’s where you can access more detailed information about financing your education at Scripps.
  • Financial Aid Phone Appointments
    • You can schedule a one-on-one phone appointment with a financial aid officer if you have more questions.

Check out the Admitted Student page

  • scrippscollege.edu/admit
    • You can find more information about virtual admitted student events!

    • This helped me start thinking about what classes I wanted to take based on what I was interested in.

Hopefully, these resources will be as helpful to you as they were helpful to us. If you have any more specific questions please feel free to reach out to any of us!
