Hello everyone! My name is Stella Holt Dupey and I am a second year studying American Studies and potentially Politics as well. I’m from Portland, Oregon, and occasionally miss the lush greenness of the Pacific Northwest, but have grown to love the hot desert Southern California climate. When I first toured Scripps, I immediately fell in love with the beautiful campus (as many people usually do) but was equally enamored with the idea of attending a school with such a plethora of social, academic, and pre-professional opportunities. Being connected to the resources available at the other schools was equally exciting to me. I am a part of the 5c Women’s Club Basketball team, so if you’re interested in playing for a super silly team with minimal time commitment, let me know! Other than club sports, I am a regular attendee of AASP (Asian American Sponsor Program) events, am involved in 5c clubs, and go for regular runs and walks around the Claremont area. I take the train or drive out of Claremont relatively often, but am always relieved to re-enter the 5c simulation and immediately head to the Motley for a sweet-and-spicy iced chai every time I return to campus. I’m really excited to meet you all, and I hope the magic of Scripps draws you in just like it did for me.
