Meet Scarlette ’24

Hi there! My name is Scarlette McCullough, and I am a junior at Scripps from Lafayette, California (the East Bay). I am majoring in economics major and an intended anthropology minor. Aside from working in the Admissions Office as an ambassador, I long and triple jump for the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) track and field team. I love being a part of a sports team in college, it has been a great way to make friends across the campuses and to stay active. I also live in a Scripps living-learning community for French speakers. On the weekends, you can find me at Tiernan Field House’s pool or going to Claremont Village’s farmer’s market on Sunday mornings. Picking the right college is a really big choice, I remember when I first came to Scripps, I stepped onto the campus and felt that I could see myself here. It was more than picturing myself in the beautiful dorms and taking cross-campus classes, it was the students and the energy they brought to this place. Scripps is so welcoming, the other students here want to be your friend genuinely, it is a really supportive place.

Keep a look out for me and my fellow admission ambassadors’ Instagram office hours and our blog posts. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out, I am available via my email: [email protected].
