Hi everyone! My name is Michaela (she/her) and I’m a first-year from Claremont, CA!! Feel free to ask me about any local restaurants, hiking trails, art museums, etc. I’m definitely still exploring my interests but am currently looking into majoring in Engineering or Math, with a potential minor in Computer Science or Data Science. I’ve always said that if I didn’t live in Claremont, Scripps would be my dream school; I 100% did not expect to actually end up at Scripps, but now that I’m here I wouldn’t have it any other way. The incredibly tight-knit community of a historically women’s college combined with the larger campus feel of the rest of the 5C consortium has truly become my home (about 2 miles) away from home. Some of my hobbies include playing soccer, crocheting, doing anything crafts/art related, going to concerts (it’s super easy to get to LA from here), playing games, and hanging out with friends. I’m incredibly excited to be an Admissions Ambassador and would be happy to answer questions about anything!
