Meet Louise ’24

Hello everyone! I’m Louise Schiele, a senior here at Scripps from Seattle, Washington. I’m dual majoring in both Spanish, Latin American, and Caribbean Literatures and Cultures (I think this is the longest major name at the 5Cs), and Cognitive Science. It took me a veryyy long time to come to this fun combination, but as a lifelong language lover, I’m so grateful that I have the chance to study language from multiple avenues here at the Claremont Colleges. Around campus, I am also a DJ at our 5C radio station, KSPC, which is one of the coolest ways you can spend your time on campus, though I might be a bit biased. Because I was raised in the Seattle gray, I take every chance I can get to be in the California sun, and you can find me passing long afternoons in Seal Court with my friends, or walking down to the village for the Sunday farmers market.
Something about Scripps felt instinctively right as soon as I set foot on campus, and every day I’m reminded how lucky I am to be part of this community. I would love to show you around when you’re on campus, and feel free to send any questions my way!
