Meet Abigail ’27

Hi! I’m Abigail, a sophomore here at Scripps. While I am technically undeclared, I am planning to major in English with an emphasis in Creative Writing. There are two English majors here, one that focuses on literature and one that focuses on creative writing. I love that I have the ability to major in English while taking mostly writing workshop classes. I am also planning to minor in French and study abroad in France my Junior year, and I love the language programs at Scripps. Outside of the classroom, I am super involved in music. I currently take violin lessons here at Scripps and will join the orchestra next year. I also have a radio show on the 5C radio station, KSPC. (Tune in Wednesdays 2-3 pm PST on kspc.org!) And lastly, I am a part of the 5C DJ collective, Table Manners. I also play the guitar and the drums in my free time and love to go to concerts in LA. For me, it was touring this school that made me envision myself here. Before the tour, I knew basically nothing about Scripps except for that it was a historically women’s liberal arts college. However, after seeing the community in real time, I knew that this was the place I wanted to go to college. I am so excited that I have the opportunity to share that experience with other people, and I am more than happy to answer any and all questions. Feel free to email me at [email protected].
