Interview With Scripps

Admissions Interview

While not required for admission, an interview is a great way for you to learn more about Scripps and to help us learn more about you. Interviews last about 30 minutes and are conducted by an admission counselor, Scripps senior, or alum volunteer. Interviews are only available for high school seniors and prospective transfer students.

As of January 2021, interviews are only available for prospective transfer students. The deadline for first-year applicants to interview has passed. Do keep in mind that interviews are not required for admission and applicants are not at any disadvantage if they do not interview. If you are a rising high school senior, we will begin offering first-year interviews in May 2021. You can find your counselor by clicking here.

Interview Options

Interviewing with an admission counselor, Scripps senior, or alum holds the same weight in the admission process. Please note that students can only interview once.

An interview with InitialView is conducted online (or in-person in China), recorded by InitialView, and shared with multiple colleges of your choice.
