Established in 2002, Scripps College Academy (SCA) is a free year-round college-readiness program for high-achieving young women in the greater Los Angeles area. SCA helps students who may lack the resources necessary to prepare for success in top colleges and universities. Through mentorship from Scripps College faculty and staff, participants develop the confidence and skills to be well-prepared college applicants, successful college students, and professionals who create positive, lasting change.

Scripps College Academy’s innovative programs also include an intensive summer residential experience and additional outreach to the larger community.

SCA Scholars

The SCA Scholars program is a multi-year, intensive pre-college program for female students only from the greater Los Angeles area and the Inland Empire. SCA Scholars participate in a rigorous summer residential experience followed by monthly events throughout high school. Click here for more info.

Community Outreach Programs

SCA provides a number of services to the local community, including Campus Call  and middle school College Club. These programs are open to female students and do not require prior admission to the SCA Scholars program.
