The Los Angeles Times discussed the range of complex emotions people may feel after falling victim to fraud with Stacey Wood, Molly Mason Jones Chair in Psychology and professor of psychology. Wood explained that scam victims shouldn’t feel alone, guilty, or ashamed: “Con artists are highly skilled individuals who employ complex psychological tactics to get victims on the hook and keep them there,” she said. “Anyone can truly be a victim of fraud.”
