Joanne Heyler ’86, founding director of the Broad Museum, discussed the museum’s reopening and commitment to diversity in LAist. “Things are changing here,” she said, adding that since the Broad’s opening in 2015, more than half of its acquisitions have been from non-white artists. “We’re doing a great deal of work internally. I’m listening very carefully.”
