American Dreams/Asian Nightmares, an upcoming collaborative performance led by Hao Huang, Bessie and Cecil Frankel Chair in Music and professor of music, was highlighted in the Claremont Courier. The performance, which is funded in part through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), examines the realities of anti-Asian American racism. “It’s worth learning about each other,” Huang said. “We’re hoping that’s what people will come to do.” The event, part of Scripps Presents’ fall 2022 programming, will take place on October 29. The program was also featured on MSN and in the Daily Bulletin.
