International Student Events

Scripps College is committed to engaging international students, fostering relationships, and building connections across The Claremont Colleges. We will be hosting activities and events tailored toward Scripps students and toward the international community across the campuses. Opportunities will exist to connect on other campuses, for new students to meet, and to create and continue programs and traditions that are meaningful to the international community.

We invite students to participate in events and programs, and in creating, planning, and implementing activities. If you have ideas for programs or activities, or if you want to get more involved with programming, please contact your student leadership, International Advisor, or Primary Contact Dean.

Historical Events

The following are some of the events that have been hosted in years past for international students.

International Festival

International Festival is an annual event that attracts over 1,000 students and members of the Claremont community to celebrate the various cultures of students at The Claremont Colleges. For more than three decades, students have set up booths and prepared their local cuisine to share the love of their home countries with the Claremont community.

International Autumn Gala

The International Autumn Gala is a night of great entertainment, international snacks, and an intermission complete with a photo booth and raffle. This event is an opportunity for students across The Claremont Colleges to showcase their talents onstage for an audience of students, faculty, staff, and local community members. All performers, MCs, and most of the volunteers are students of The Claremont Colleges.
